We believe the environment in which we practise matters. Hawthorn Hub was purpose-built to support contemporary independent practice, bringing together thoughtful design, practical functionality and a calm, professional atmosphere. Every element has been carefully considered to create a workspace that feels welcoming, functional and adaptable throughout the day.

From the textured limewashed hallway and warm ambient lighting to the refined finishes and muted palette, the Hub has been designed with both practitioners and clients in mind. Six consulting rooms provide a contemporary environment that balances comfort, privacy and flexibility while supporting the practical demands of everyday practice.

Connection & Community

While Hawthorn Hub has been purpose-built for independent practice, it has also been intentionally designed to foster professional connection. Practitioners work alongside colleagues who value generosity, collaboration and genuine professional relationships, creating an environment where independent practice is supported by a strong sense of community.

Peer supervision, internal referrals, networking opportunities and informal conversations over the lunch table form part of everyday life at the Hub. 

Clinical supervision and private practice business mentoring are also available to support practitioners in navigating both the clinical and operational aspects of independent practice. Complimentary visibility is provided through the How Are You Hub website and internal digital displays.

As part of the broader How Are You Hub community, practitioners also have opportunities to connect with colleagues at The Camberwell Collective, extending professional networks across both locations.

Thoughtfully Equipped for Practice

Everyday practice has been carefully considered, from secure digital access and welcoming client spaces to integrated telehealth technology and ergonomic workstations.

Smart digital entry provides secure, seamless access for practitioners and clients throughout the day. Clients arrive into a calm, contemporary waiting area designed with privacy and comfort in mind.

Every consulting room includes a sit/stand desk, ergonomic chair, high-speed Wi-Fi and a complete telehealth setup with monitor, camera and lighting, supporting both in-person and online appointments.

Beyond each consulting room, practitioners have access to a fully equipped kitchen, shared lunch space, two bathrooms, secure storage, additional seating and a portable testing table.

Getting to the Hub

Hawthorn Hub is conveniently located at 114–116 Auburn Road, Hawthorn, just a two-minute walk from Auburn Station. Free street parking is available nearby for clients, with additional all-day parking options within walking distance for practitioners. The consulting rooms are located on the first floor and are accessed via one flight of stairs.
